The system

Code for Community is a Clear Road Labs initiative: skilled developers volunteer their time to build custom software for nonprofits at no development cost — the nonprofit covers only its own hosting, domain, and API usage. Most nonprofits can't afford a fifty-thousand-dollar build; this changes the math to zero.

The starting catalog is fifteen working applications — case management, grant tracking, volunteer scheduling, event registration, and more — built end to end by The Software Factory and explorable as guided demos with sample data. Intake is open on both sides: nonprofits bring projects, developers bring hours. The first cohort is being matched now.
